Sorry so late posting I was logged out and didn't know it.
I know that place well go there twice a year.
I drilled out my exhaust to let it flow.
The only way to accurately know is when you pull it apart.
I found mine was not a 39mm after pulling it apart from the factory. that may or may not be the the case with yours.
I bought a 47mm only to find it was a 44mm when I pulled it apart. So I went with a 52mm and just fattened up my fuel by adjusting the carb and am happy with it.
PM me your address if you want and I'll send you the extra one I have since I will not use it.

Possibly sucked junk into the carb with open vacuum line. Clean it and see if that helps.
Or valves need to be set.

2 smokers are far easier to repair, upgrade and maintain than 4 stroke so keep that in mind too.

Search the posts for specific things you wanna learn or youtube for how to videos.
They are pretty simple and design is common with many different brands.
If you run into problems just shoot a post out about your problem(s) and it will be answered.

Another read. affordablegokarts.com/pages/how-to-drill-the-main-jetsI didn't do the head because after getting it open I found it wasn't actually a 49 cc I didn't measure it but I'm guessing stock it was 44mm so figured it was good enough for now. I just wanted to get 50mph and more power up hills/off the light, I got that so left it alone.

Give it a read. www.49ccscoot.com/faq/whichkit.htmlI went with the 52mm but it is said you'll end up wearing out the bottom end if you beat it like a rented mule. I am one of those ride it like you stole it so I did minimal break in and whooped on it ever since. Wasn't uncommon to do a 70 mile country ride pinned most of the time I have had zero issues since doing mine but we'll see what next season brings.

Mine stumbles when starting now that I did a big bore kit. Stock battery isn't the best quality either so it don't have it in it to crank the higher compression. Once it goes dead good luck kick starting it.....😂

Also check the enriching arm, the metal used tends to warp and not do it's job.
Look at it when articulating the throttle and see if it's making contact with the plunger sufficiently.

Does it still have the air box on it? Mine wouldn't run properly after I tried to make it "free flow" by mucking about with the baffles in it and it also gave me problems when the foam air cleaner got clogged.

Intake air leak? My o ring on my intake was compressed so it wouldn't seal. High temp rtv fixed mine, hope it's that easy for you.

Well after a rough start of flooding out then fixing that, then getting a mile + away from the house my starter gear nut came loose causing a horrific noise and a impromptu walk back to again fix my garbage I made it to the rally. Didn't know this beforehand but they are a sub chapter of the moped army that a couple of buddies Had been chatting with. Most were old peddle start peds so I was the chinese invasion, These are my buddies that were trucked in and had broke down about halfway through the 18 mile ride And a few I liked.
