I put a half tank of 32 to 1 mixed gas and a half tank of straight gas to ease the break in of my Jug and rings.

OK so just got back from riding around.
I still haven't beat on it like a rented mule or fine tuned the carb and am currently running half and half 2 stroke gas/regular but got my elusive 50!!!
After this tank is finished and adjust it a bit I'll see what else it has to give.

I've always thought of it this way. I would rather take that risk of me doing it myself than some dude I have no idea who or what he has been doing.
I don't want to die or get injured either but trusting my life to someone else's hand isn't something that has ever set well with me.
The bonus is it costs me a fraction of what someone else pays.
I am Leary with key components too but as you said its old so just riding it is a risk too right?
Just because they are a "scooter mechanic" doesn't necessarily mean it is better than you doing it. I wouldn't trust the local scooter guy with changing my oil because he and the other guy just happened to have the money buy some scooters and open a shop doesn't make him trained to assemble and service them but they do and are sketchy......
Be anal and check over everything, three time in some cases But really trust in what you can do and learn it, will save you money and there is no price for self reliance.
Do the BBK I just put on a 52mm cylinder and piston in my 50cc and like it.

Hour and a half and it's in. Was dark when I did the break in run, almost hit a deer so I'll save the top speed runs for daylight.
As for first impressions. It pulls good, no lag, keeps pulling till I let off but Starter don't like it.
So at this point for stock everything else but the 52mm replacement jug and piston I am happy with how it is.

Don't be afraid to work on your garbage, There are all kinds of how to videos and people here that will help if needed.
Think of it this way all that coin you save not paying someone to service can be spent on speed part....
Empower yourself!

Wasn't a 47mm but wasn't a 39mm either. Guessing it is a 44mm by size difference so as I assumed by top speed it wasn't really a 50cc.
I have decided to toss the 52mm in it and be happy with whatever I get.

With any luck I'll catch that elusive 50mph and be a little quicker. Currently getting 46 with 48 once so maybe with this I'll get it.

Where are you finding oil?
Not versed in your scoot but am in 2 smoker dirt bikes.
The engine case shouldn't leak anywhere but it will build up in the pipe after time and start coming out the pipe front and back. So you may see some seepage from the pipe by the head or out the end.
If it is oil injection (not mixed with the gas) sometimes the line feeding the carb gets hard and can start leaking.
Give It a good spray down with something to cut all the oil and trace where it is coming from to further your findings of where it is coming from and why.

those of you that have done the 50cc bbk
Where did you get it?
What size did you go? 47mm or 50mm
Did you use the stock head or did it come with a new one?
Did you change your stock carb jets or did you get a new one? Jet size/carb size?
What kind of gains did you get?
Thanks.

Mine does the same thing. When you consider all the phones sending and receiving data around you while your riding it doesn't surprise me that it almost is constantly flickering. I don't even notice it anymore.

I've always wanted one and he is a good excuse to get one. Lol.
texted the seller and now he don't want to sell it....
I hate that! don't post it if you don't want to sell it! The search continues.

So I've been lacking in the scooter department. I've recently upgraded the boys mini bike with a 212cc engine that I gps'ed today at a strong 40 mph stock. First shake down run didn't go smooth. I let it run for 20 mins then did some slow rolls to give it some work. Forth pass back at roughly 25ish I could feel it was wanting so I rolled it open, it re-introduced me with gravity and physics with a wheelie of epic proportion..... Hands, knees, elbows are hamburger and broke my toe. It's a Monster!
I also have picked up 2 dirt bikes for him. One small tire 80 and a big tire 85 for when he gets a little taller.
And looking at a racing kart tomorrow for him and think we'll be set for a little while. Maybe.....
