Still haven't ordered a belt or tires been slacking but current question is,
So I have noticed increased top end from when I got it and most recently after seeing belt was worn.
What would cause the increase?
Should lose top end as belt becomes more narrow not gain....

I don't know what the previous owner used but I went full synthetic. I researched synthetic oil when it first became a mainstream thing And was surprised with the wear results from before and after.
The diesel oils though, never considered the zinc and other additives. I will have to look into that..
I do use two staple oil additives in everything, STP and motorkote.
I am certain they helped me get 230,000+ out of my very regularly Abused throw away 4 banger.
Those that use the diesel, are you using this as well in the final drive?

The cutting the cross section may be the ticket. I suppose I will try this to see if it alleviates this issue.

Tidbit of info for ya. During peak filling time at the "fire hose" filling station Closest to me, the pump ran considerably slower with everyone filling up.

So at what mileage did you do your first valve adjustment?
Right at 2000 now but even with belt wear and aggressive riding it is running quicker, stronger and faster bone stock.
Side note: not finding anything making me believe it isn't a 50 either..

Doing preventive maintenance today and was wondering if this appears to have the governing spacer? From the ride marks it appears it isn't making its way to the top. (finger it at outer most edge)

Right on!
Haven't done the math on sizes yet so that helps.
I will measure the remaining space from stock to front fender and see what I have to play with. Rear I don't have a problem taking it off because it is wonkey anyway.
Good looking out! Thanks!

A little more ride height is the ultimate goal seeing I don't intend to ease my turns any and drag the kickstand on turns, The few at the top end will just be a bonus.
Fitment without issues is my only concern seeing things are relatively tight already.

Ok so I haven't ordered my tires yet because the little hop isn't atrocious and I've Been having far too much fun riding......
During my most recent excursion I had pondered the buying of a different size.
What if I purchased a 80 instead of a 70 that should give me a difference at the top end and a little more ride height.
So has anyone gone up or down from stock? If so what are your findings?

So what you're saying is I probably shouldn't buy him the hopped up QT-50!?!?
he has been riding in traffic on his bicycle since he was 6yrs old, has a hopped up mini bike and been driving the car since he could reach the pedals.
They can die just as easily doing day to day things that their skills have been honed doing.
He could have been eaten by a bear backpacking in Yellowstone if I became unable to defend him, that logic wouldn't permit him to do that dangerous task until he can carry by himself. (even though he knows protocol if that occurred, being he is proficient in firearms usage and marksmanship) He could Just as easily be run down in traffic on his bicycle or "honing" his skills on a dirt bike not in traffic.
The fundamental key is teaching and respect in any learned dangerous task.
He didn't learn to shoot my .45 by me giving it and ammo telling him to go play with it outside. He learned the basics verbally, taught to respect it then accompanied me to see how to handle it, then after he showed the knowledge and skills he was cut loose with me only being the financier for His time at the range.
Same went for riding his bike, mini bike, car and scoot.
I fully understand your point and concern but we got this.

We rode roughly 50ish miles that day, did well with traffic, speed limits and checking his mirrors, But the oncoming traffic turning left/who has the right of way perplexed him a few times.
He has been riding and driving motorized implements for some time.

My 11yr old tooling around with me in tow. Probably have a few more grey hairs from him taking the curves hot and low, Didn't scrape the kickstand like the old man but pretty sure he was trying... Not bad for the first time riding the scoot and two up! P.S. he is eleven!

I have spoons so I'll change mine over to save some coin but I will take them to be balanced.
