good info helps me out a little even though so far no problem there on my Bali 250 or Jonway YY250t-2 with Honda clone did get the fuse melting fixed with u alls help so Doakley just relax and they know what there talking about I was getting frustrated with my fuse issue !! Just a lose wire on box and tighting the connection of the fuses fixed but also wanted to chip in My honda clone motor fan does run without scooter running it will run if hot still with key on must be different on the Yahmaha clones

Thanx Cruiser I checked mine today and I'm sort of happy. I was just wondering, if you are a little low on volts why not switch main lights off when its safe to do so, just every now and then. Those little bits could just help the battery. (might damage the switch though I guess)

I usually run with just one headlight, so the battery always charges. A single HID headlight throws plenty of light for night driving. Also, switching HID lights on and off does not stress the switch very much because it is not switching the lights themselves but just switching the control box relay. At least I know where the upper limit is for my charging system. I am thinking of upgrading to the Oregon Motorcycle R/R, but I want to check the output of the stator under load to see if it drops between the charging and discharging modes. I am trying to avoid throwing parts at a problem until I know where the weak points are.

The little testing I have done have been real promising. I really do think getting that Fan circuit ramped up to 12 Gauge wire will help with the current draw. Since it is the most power hungry item left on the main wiring I want to get it moved to a heavier wire. I will not get to that for at least another week. I am without my scooter again this week while rear tire is being replaced. So I hope to change out the wires on the fan next week.
