Its been quite a while since I rode the riva. Battery is dated 6/15 with a paint pen and it may have been almost a year since I rode it. Had to add a little charge to it and dripped a little ether into the hose leading from the air filter and it came to life. God I love sea foam. It had a half a tank so I topped off with real gas and a gurgle of sea foam. It rides smooth but handles like crap on loose gravel. Actually it rides a whole lot smoother than the majesty I used to have. Have had it some where around 8 or 9 years and it just turned over 7k and had a bit over 5k when I bought it. It's older than a few of the people here! Out side of oil changes the only thing I did to it was buy a set of matching yamaha mirrors as one had cracked glass and of course tires and they are probably out of code by now. Washed it with dawn and its ready for a few trips to town before winter.

Sea foam is a wonder,,, with a little fork work and some decent shocks in the back and it might be a keeper

Front is a 1/2 a fork, tire loads just like a car tire! rear is nice and soft but front is goofy and way too sensitive

The Riva 180 is probably the best of that generations scooters. Ultra reliable and darn fast too I've heard stories of near 80 mph speeds out of well tuned ones.
