I have a 250cc jonway. It has been cutting out while riding. First the lights go then I lose engine power. I've replaced the battery,cdi magneto and rectifier. My mechanic had it for a month and couldn't figure the issue out. Anybody have any ideas?

Well it's obviously an electrical issue,,,,,take all the panels off ,,,check all connections especially the grounds,,,( i.e. Battery/frame engine frame and all other ganged grounds ,,,,start it and wiggle and lightly tug on the harness the problem will probably show itself as a connector plug or two not seated or sometimes when the connectors are put together one or more of the terminals will "back out of the plug itself and just be touching the tip of the connector,,,and also while it's running wiggle the key switch,,they can go intermittent with the vibration of riding

x2 on above. A lot of people wrap a zip tie around a plug once the have had it apart checking it. lubing the connectors with silicon grease is a good way to prevent bad connections too. With all the panels off and scooter on center stand running, wiggle the wiring harness too. Grounds are very important to both engine and frame.

Bike seems to be stuck in gear does not want to start and if it does does not sound good just happend any clues to why

Get her up on the center stand, pull the Trans cover and see what's going on. ALSO... Pull the plug to make sure engine isn'T LOCKED UP.

Like jct said get the machine up in the air start it and post a video if you can,,,your description is vague and doesn't give us much information,,,if you can post a video we may be able to help
