i have taking apart my piaggio xevo to give it some needed tlc but i've run into a problem with i hope you some of you could help me with is there anyway to test if my radiator is working and the fan as well i've noticed a bolt with two wires connected to it attached to one of the hoses would this be the thermostat? can it be removed for testing image below . not from my bike any wisdom would help

To test a radiator all that is necessary is no contact thermometer. One of those with a red dot you aim with. Measured the inlet and the outlet temp. Big drop between in and out means it is working.

That would be the thermostatic switch for the cooling fan,,, preset at a temp to close and turn on the fan
