Bought a TaoTao 4150 for grandsons Christmas present, after assembly starter turned over twice and died. Contacted what I believe is the only person that works there except the receptionist. He knows less about the kart than I have learned in the last two weeks! I've taken three days off to get it running, went way outside their limited troubleshooting ideas found the culprit but still haven't gotten any help. Can't speak to anyone other than Receptionist, tech support may get back within 48 hours if your lucky with a boxed reply. Contacted TAOTAO directly their tech support acknowledged culprit but it needs to be warranty by dealer. Back to square one. Don't put yourself thru this stay away from this dealer!! TampaGuy

Make sure the battery, starter solenoid and connections are good. Then look at the starter, if it is the starter. I hate to say it dig in your pocket some more and buy a stater. Countless posts like this pop up end results they dig into there pockets for defective parts.

You need to make sure you buy from a dealer that is forum approved and then you wont have to dig in your pocket for the parts. Most of us here actually honor our warranty. We do a one year and send out parts free of charge if a customer needs one. It is rare that we need to send out any parts because we sell the ZNEN scooters and rarely have any issues. Over the last year I sent out a belt and a coil both to the same customer.
