That's a real shame. The harley cult treated a buel about the same as a "rice burner". And in Fact they were a better built harley that had upright seating. I was looking to buy one and ended up with a Suz 1200cc bandit.

Too bad! They were nice bikes. I remember going in for a job interview when they first opened in Mukwonago, WI. It was just 4 miles on country roads. But alas, they were not pleased to see me drive up on my '86 Honda Gold Wing Aspencade. Guess I should have taken the Dakota instead. Or the '98 Honda VF750 Magna.

Eric Buell is an incredible engineer and designer but a terrible businessman. He was on a roll a few years ago but instead of using money to solidify his business he went Superbike racing in Europe. I would like to see him import bikes from China to his specs like Johnny Pag and Cleveland Cyclewerks. It would put him in touch with the Chinese, improve the bikes coming in and put him on the map.
