Not long ago I scuffed up the glazed clutch and bell, and it smoothed it out real nice. Well, now it's chattering again. Is there anything I can do that will last longer than a couple months? I was thinking about cross-hatch etching on the clutch shoes. Anyone see a problem with that? Anyone with a better idea?

Yes, and the shoes. I didn't have any really coarse paper, so I knew it wouldn't last long. If I go the same route, I'll get some coarse paper.

You should have opened up the clutch and greased the slides and pivot pins and the needle bearing.
