Ya Im not impressed at all.............. I still would have a difficult time dropping that kinda coin on a Scoot, personally id just purchase a real Bike.

I'm in the other camp,,,,I'd call that half way respectable mileage ,,,but my scooter passion is fading i must admit, I think motorcycles are more efficient and longer lived

I have always looked at a scooter is a local vehicle for putting around town, picking up some bread and milk and fun type riding where you are not on a time table. To me when some one says a "touring scooter" that is like an oxymoron to me. Hell you can even tour on a fat tire bicycle or a pair of keds and a back pack if that's your thing.

I just would have expected more responses of high mileage. It just seems to me that there are a lot of these Vespas getting lost to the world after 40,000 miles. It's an awful lot to spend for a scooter that doesn't last forever.
