Hi All,

I have noticed that some of the Taotao retailers have recently started listing the 50cc scoot specs at 1.8 hp and other retailers still list 3.5 hp in their specs.

What is a potential customer to think? Has Taotao really reduced the hp level for some evil undisclosed reason? Is there some new method of restriction we have to learn about.

Has anyone had any encounters with these new “1.8 hp” scoots? Please say it ain’t so.

It ain't so,, it's a typo,, I'd expect 3.5-4.2

Thanks for the info, I had concerns that the little motors had been crippled further.
