I acquired a qt50 recently without a headlamp installed. The bike has no spark. Is the lack of a connection at the headlamp the culprit?

I wouldn't think so,,if the wire harness is torn up around the head set that may be it,,,maybe some ignition wires got cut or disconnected

Previous owner said plug was fouled
Got a new plug and boom...kicked over.
I need some parts before she's road ready but I'm further than I've been with the past 2 bikes I've tried to restore
