czmdiver All restore really does is re adds compression to engines that have very bad or any scoring what so ever, causing loss in power to much more, I don't really see why not. I've considered on becoming a victim to it, Either it will work fantastic and I will re gain speeds. Or something else.. I wont be driving my current scooter somewhere in 4-5 months as I just got a car and I would prefer to just buy a new one as a play toy any who sometime.

It was originally a 50cc two stroke. So what are people recommending as far as a (pre) mix ratio (with oil pump still connected) and jet size for the 70cc kit?
I thought I would be ok with the oil pump still on, premix at 60:1 and a #90 mains but it still found a way to seize ...

You seized it by running the oil injection and premix in the tank,,,as diver said earlier you created a lean condition by replacing gas with oil,,,,

Ok I'll disconnect the oil pump, in that case what should I be looking at as a premix ratio with the 80cc kit?

Do it the other way around,,, save the premix for the weedwacker and run the pump

ok I fitted the new cylinder kit fitted the carby and I didn't even connect the fuel line up and it started straight away. The next day it wouldn't turn the starter motor over. It clicks at the relay and I can feel a pulse in the wire to the starter motor. I have the battery fully charged all the time. The fuse is ok. I tried a different relay and starter motor but the same thing happens .... just a click off the relay. I don't think I am getting a spark either, I have to check that again. I connected up a different coil .. same caper ... any ideas?

ok starter is fixed by fitting another earth wire. Now the problem is this. I can ride around for a few minutes and then it cuts out. Electrically cuts out. No spark. It starts again straight away. Something is shorting out the coil wire or something is shorting to the frame as I saw a spark jump a gap in the frame. Is there a way of testing the ignition coil or how can I check its earth?

Hi thanks for that, I just got back to it. I replaced my fancy aftermarket coil with the standard factory one and so far so good. I gave it a thirty minute test ride in the back yard today then a further 10 minute one later in the day and it hasn't cut out yet. I still am not confident enough to take it past the letterbox so will do further back yard testing. Thanks again ...

Great news!!!! I had a couple coils go that way,,,work fine till it got hot then shut off like a switch,,,let it cool it would lite right up,,,,,as far as I'm concerned by what you said in the testing,,,by the power vested in me I pronounce it cured!!!!

I would never pronounce this thing as cured. It always finds a way to crap itself. No confidence whatsoever in taking it a long way from home. Lemon of the century. Faulty electrics, gauges, three seizures, two oil pump failures, two starter motor failures, batteries, short circuits, rotted brake cylinder glass, three carburettors, three coils, three CDI's five plugs .. easy 300 hours into the build and $3,000 spent.

If there is indeed a next time,,get a genuine Stella (that's what they call them here in the states) probably LML Star where you are,,,I've had fabulous luck with mine with only very minor things gone wrong

ok I'm back into this thing. The cut outs continued, returned whatever, I have now fitted a new Malossi big bore cylinder kit and a new stator. The stator I think has been the problem all along. It appears to heat up then cut out. I have had 40 minute rides and it goes ok. It is doing over 86 KPH up from the 58 kph it was doing standard.
