Riding fine then cuts off. By nuke (Read 1,123 times)

So I just bought this Motobravo Super Hornet 150cc and it runs good. UNTIL!!! it just cuts out for about 15 to 30 seconds and then it will catch the throttle. I am at a loss. I have replaced the carb, auto choke, and looked at the vacuum (pump). I cannot figure it out. Help!!!

"Cuts out" the engine dies as in its off?
At what throttle position does this normally happen?

How many miles on her?
What tune up type maintenance have you done?

If could be something other than fuel starvation causing this, and not knowing the exact circumstances of when your scooter shuts down, makes it a guessing game as to what's wrong. Are you running at wide open throttle, or just easing along, when it quits?......A mile or two from the house, or 15 miles into a ride?......Does it pop, fart, bog, loose power before cutting out, or does it just shut down like the ignition key had been turned off?.....Emissions system still intact?.....Are the fuel and vac lines the original rubber ones?.....When were the valve gaps checked last?......I could go on.....but I won't.

Mine was doing the same thing. You can either drill a small hole in the fuel cap or disconnect the whole vent canister system. Drilling the hole was easier. If you get a rush of air when you take off the gas cap that’s probably what’s wrong. I’m gonna look for a replacement canister too.

If it's brand new it's probably because the carb needs to be adjusted. It will have a cap blocking one adjustment that you have to get out to adjust it. I had the same issue when mine was new out of the box
