Hello folks.... Scooter won't run, walk, or crawl! I have replaced carb, fuel lines, fuel filter, vacuum lines, cleaned the intake filter and said plenty of four letter (as well as five letter) words. Scooter still no run! I thinking it's valve adjusting time. That said.... Can anyone direct me to a PDF or GOOD you tube video that describes the procedure for a valve adjustment on a MC-54-250 engine? THANKS!!!!

And if you can't get it running there is a cap with a slotted screwdriver opening on the head. Spin the engine until the indicator comes up. THat's TDC. Adjust the valves as in the video. You will feel contact and back off one line.

Thanks for the video. However I see it's for a 4-wheeler. What I have is a 250cc motor scooter.

I just found a video that shows how to properly set the valves for the 250 motor.
