  I think I have the spark issue diagnosed.  The stator flunks the ac voltage test from the exciter wire and charging wire as it does with resistance tests.  I have been looking for another one and the prices are crazy!  I cant remember if it was this forum that someone mentioned a place to get Italian scooter parts for a decent price.  Its a Motori Minarelli stator and has Ducati energia stamped on the back.
