I recently bought a Chinese 200cc Dongfang scooter. From the get go it was very hard starting and wouldn't idle until the engine warmed up. So, I replaced that cheap carburetor, with a performance CVK 30mm carburetor. Now it starts right up and idles perfect. However, I removed the Pair system EGR and plugged up all the vacuum lines. Now at full throttle it started to sputter and backfire. So I adjusted the fuel mixture to allow more fuel into the carb. Well the backfire stopped but the engine hiccups at full throttle. I adjusted my valves to.004 on both the intake and exhaust. Just wonder if my fuel flow is just too slow since I have installed a regular shut off valve and got rid of the Petcock. HELP

You may have to start playing with the main jets. The jet in there could be too big or too small for wide open running. An accessory carb may not be set up for the bike and needs a little tweaking.
