Needle washers, Keihin Carb. By epdowd (Read 1,617 times)

I'm at a loss as to how many washers to put on this needle. I know the good needles have grooves for the clip so you have an idea of the distance you have set. Is there a mm distance or ? to compare this to the groove - clip type needle ?. Also the part that locks down the needle inside the diaphram assy. just clicks into place after groove line up. A feeble click at that. Poor lock down compared to a set screw..

Thanks Rich !!, I'll do that. One outfit suggested I buy another carborator from them,, I'm sure.
This isn't that big of deal,, I figured maybe there was a standard starting point. Too many make of carbs I suppose and some difference between them.
I'll just add or remove the washers and see what happens. Very time consuming tho.. This is an extra carb I have for back up..

EPDOWD, if you are using the PWK flatslide (like in the diagram), the needle does have the grooves. Just use a small set of pliers to pull the C-clip carefully then move it up for lean and down for rich. The FS carbs can be a bitch to tune, but very rewarding when you get them set up like you want. I love mine!!
