Thanks for the link Rich!!! One of our local shops took the ITA in for repairs and the throttle got stuck and it took off in the shop damaging a vintage Lambretta and damaging the ITA. I will pass on the link to him. The Punisher is great. been riding a lot this summer. Pretty sure I am going to get a Kymco People 250 or an Exciting 250 this winter for next year though.

Carb Trick

Until I got my flatslide carb I was going to try to JBweld a small screwdriver bit to the screw so it would permanently be mounted and make it easier to adjust.

I do get it, Hell, the top end on my scoot is from him. I have never had any issues with any parts I have bought from him. Of course I have never ordered anything I did not know was going to fit or was the correct size. I have had questions before, emailed Rick with pics of my existing part and he has always responded within a shot time (less than a day) with good info. In a couple of cases, he did not have the right part and at least once he told me I did not want to buy a part from him because he knew what I was looking for and his was not heavy duty enough.

My most recent order, a set of gears, new Gates belt, and a new dash for my scoot came in their standard two days, with all parts being good, as advertised and fitting well. +1 as usual for Scrappydog.

Mcalli, what "bad" have you heard about Scrapydog? I deal with them all them time and have never had a problem. Service has always been good and products as well. And Scrappydog doesn't sell scooters, just parts.

The dash is *sort of* an OEM one. it looks just like my oem one, but does not "plug-n-ply" so I have to figure out all of the wiring. If I was to go with an aftermarket one it woule be the Vapor or the Koso one.

squeek, check my album in my sig. I ride at night all the time with mine. usually the local po-po will tell you what is legal or not. As long as they are white, or not facing forward if red or blue you should be fine.

Yes it will, once the head is off, the valves are not connected to each other so a single spring tool works just fine.

What sprocket said, and yes, I have removed and put back my head many times without removing the engine, hell, I have taken the whole top end off 5 times without taking the engine out. Biggest issue is height. If you have access to a lift or a table that you can put it up on so you dont have to bend over it will make the whole thing a lot easier.

@ Cruiser. I am not sure how others are using the computer fans, but mine will be mounted to point at the valve cover, and primarily will be used during idle, and stop and go traffic, and not be on during long trips where airflow is not really an issue. I agree on the oil cooler and have a cooler I plan on modding in sometime, unless I just replace my engine this year with one of the crate ones from Scrappydog......
