Well I have ordered from Rich over at Scrappy many times. We have gotten a couple of Variators, Carb, Top end Rebuild for my 244cc Coils belts and Misc. items. He has fast shipping I will give him that. And for the most part we have had a fairly good experience. Up until the last month an a half.
Ok so I got that Defective Carb with the Holes in Diaphragm and the Needle that came off the diaphragm. Sent back and waiting to see how that comes out. I will hold off any bad call as I feel Rich is doing good trying to take care of the situation.
Now on the bad with. My dad placed an order online wanted it shipped to my house so that it would be there when he came down to work on his scooter. So he called up and to have that changed Rich said he would have to cancel the order and reorder. ok no problem so that is what he did. Well that was over a month ago. My dad has still not recieved the Refund to his paypal account. Paypal will not do anything to help him out. He has emailed and called Rich a number of times still nothing. To me this is a HUGE Mark and bad. My dad is on a limited Budget and to have extra money sitting out there that is not refunded is not good.
Now the other items. The coil he has listed for the VOG/Linhai not even close to the one that works. My dad ordered an 871x23 belt he shows a Mitsubishi like what was on his scooter my dad received some no name knockoff. Which Broke on him Sunday on his way home and he had to push his scooter home 3/4 of a mile. Not something I want my 68 year old father having to do.
So I would say I am about 50/50 on scrappy and not real sure how much more business I will do in the future. If he comes through with the Customer service I will probably continue to get items I need if not. I am going to be done getting parts and will advertise.
So that is the good and the Bad just from my Experience.

wow, from what I read, I wouldn't trust them at all. So sorry about your Dad. He is a little older than me (6 years) and so I can relate to what he is going through. It's too bad there are so many unscrupulous business people on the net. Hope it all works out for you and your dad. I would definitely be writing the better business bureau about this lack of refund. I would lean on pay pal a little harder also. After all, your dad paid for something and he doesn't have the money or the product now. Pay pal has a help section that describes actions they take in situations like this. I don't know if it works or not because I have never used pay pal for a large purchase. Man, you need to go after these people anyway you can.

You people just don't get it. If everything is fine and no complaints he is going down to the casino and betting it all. BUT if something IS NOT RIGHT or the WRONG PART or whatever you are in a HEAP OF crap. That boy already spent your money at the casino and if you read his policey "YOU MAY" get an exchange but to return any BREAD you are going to wait until the COWS come home and I have yet to see any COWS around. Even an exchanage is a BEAR TO GET IF you ever get it.
So the way it goes is IF EVERYTHING IS COOL WITH THE PART no problems. But JUST REMEMBER THIS if there is some kind of problem YOU BOUGHT ITS YOURS NO REFUNDS NO WARRANTY NADA find the garbage can.
You really have to ask yourself WHY are his parts so much cheaper than anybody else. There is a reason for it and you do not have to be a genius to figure it out. It is not because he wants to be a good guy and sell you parts at low prices. The reason is that the parts are not quality parts, they are cheaply made so when you buy something you are taking a chance. So if you want cheap parts he is the one to go to but don't expect the parts to be premo. Alleyoop

I do get it, Hell, the top end on my scoot is from him. I have never had any issues with any parts I have bought from him. Of course I have never ordered anything I did not know was going to fit or was the correct size. I have had questions before, emailed Rick with pics of my existing part and he has always responded within a shot time (less than a day) with good info. In a couple of cases, he did not have the right part and at least once he told me I did not want to buy a part from him because he knew what I was looking for and his was not heavy duty enough.

My respond was not directed at you it is a general response to whoever reads it. You have had good luck with him that is fine, but there are others who have receivined bad parts with no recourse. I personnally have had a go around with him about his so called performance variator for the 150s. It is still in the orginal box it came in, I put it on made a test run and lost 10mph, came right back and took it off. Alleyoop

This vendor uses Paypal as a form of payment. I always use Paypal for all my online purchases whenever it's accepted by a vendor. I have had some problems (not with Scrappydog) where I had to go through the Paypal resolution process and have been able to reach satisfactory solutions. I also use my credit card as a funding source for Paypal. That way, I can also use the dispute resolution process of my credit card if necessary.

I just received my clutch from ScrappyDog today. It only took two days from Vegas to South Carolina. It is identical to the one I took off. Someone said Scrappy offers low prices because his parts are not primo. I say how primo can any of the factory parts on my Roketa be? The new clutch seems to be operating within normal parameters.
I'd give ScrappyDog an "A" on this transaction. I think it was him from whom I bought a belt for my 150cc last year on an eBay auction. I ordered a Gates but received some generic Chinese belt. I contacted him and he sent me the correct Gates belt and said for me to just keep the one he sent originally. I'd say that transaction went well too.

So just got email from Rich. He is exchanging the Carb I got with the Bad diaphragm and broken needle. So when that comes in I will come back and give Scrappy the Thumbs up again.

just wanna make something clear on calling scrappy's parts cheap and not good in other words. i can just give ya a input on his performance heads. because i do them i can tell ya that the work on the porting and bigger valves is not the cheap way out. alot of people grip about the price com-on are you kidding me it takes 5hr's to do one head there is no one out there that is doing anything close to what my company doe's to these heads..no one garantee it.he is keeping the prices down as much as possible as i am all-so. the work that is done to these heads no one would even think about selling them for as little as rick doe's...so i think that is a insolt to say his stuff is CHEAP and that is what you get...not cool..he hasent raised his prices for at least 3-years to help you guy's out big time. and i no he is not at the casino wasting time let-alone money....sorry just pis's me off when you say you want cheap you get cheap...not true.......
