Rode my scoot into work today. Yesterday I was adjusting the valves and idled it up a tad too much so when I got home I decided to idle it back some. I got it up on the center stand and the back wheel was going pretty good and it was making a rattling sound coming from the clutch area. I have tried and can not for the life of me get the nut loose on the clutch. Gonna have to borrow a chain wrench from work I suppose. My guess is that the clutch is about shot. I've never been able to get the thing off but it's never been an issue so I just never messed with it. Anyone else have trouble with the thing and/or replaced it? I believe this is the right one for my scoot. cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Clutch-Assembly-250cc-ATV-Go-Kart-Scooter-Moped-Kazuma-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQitemZ150455697038QQptZLHQ5fDefaultDomainQ5f100

The Ebay clutch looks right since it is for a 250 CC. Not sure if all 250's use the same clutch. I have always used an impact wrench to remove the variator nut and clutch nut. Hold the rear brake handle and put the impact wrench to it. Comes right off.

I took the variator cover off this evening and looked and listened and after doing so I think that the variator is not quite lined up with the clutch and the belt is banging against things just a little occasionally. Not sure why this is exactly, but it seems to do it more at idle than when under load.
I'd still like to take the clutch off and give it a look see and lube it up.

The part number for the sunlpartsonline is the same as the one from tankscooterpartswholesale that I posted earlier. Hopefully your clutch is OK.

Well I finally got the nut off of the thing this evening. I opened the clutch up and found nothing wrong. I lubed up the shaft and put it back together.
My problem is that getting the thing apart I broke the nut that holds the bell housing on. it's a M14x1.25 and NOBODY around me has any nuts that size. Ace hardware had some that were M14x1.5 but the difference is the 1.25 has finer threads. I got the thing back together enough that I think it's gonna be ok for me to ride into work tomorrow, but I don't wanna take any long trips on it.
Gotta find me a bolt and screw company around to get this one or else I'll have to order one somewhere.
