I have had my BMS ev9 for about a month and a half.I know some one told me watch out for oil leaks.Well it leaks.Nothing major but it seems to be seeping out my air breather onto the CVT cover and also under the head. Any pointers? I also had to put a new carb on it today after cleaning the original one twice.Geesh this thing is giving me a rough start lol. Also I have tried three different enrichers I cant get one of them to work.

Newer scooters can have complex emission systems that involve oil vapor recovery. Could your leak be coming from a partial vacuum tube that's pulling oil vapor towards the air box? On my wife's Bashan the crankcase breather fits onto the bottom of the air cleaner and seeps a little oil. Trace your lines and see if you can determine where it's coming from, it might be a loose clamp. What's wrong with your enricher? Is it not shutting off or what? I can't imagine three of them are bad, it could be the electrical supply. They usually work off of the yellow wire which lights up with the stator so that it only works with the engine running. The enricher is on by default until it heats up and the little plunger shuts off the enricher circuit (fuel that is). Hook one up right to a 12v battery and the plunger should come out about 3/16" in around 5 to 10 minutes if it's working right. If it does, you have an electrical supply problem. If you can determine what's going on with that I can probably help you. I've been up and down the pike with enrichers and electricals........unfortunately. Rich

Thanks Rich.I will trace my vapor lines this week end.I think your rite about the electrical supply. It just dosnt seem to engauge to allow extra gas to flow into the carb.I will explore it this week end.

Keep in mind it IS engaged when you start the engine, it's always on until the engine runs a while and then it shuts off. So a bad auto-enricher usually manifests as good start up but starts to run horrible after the engine heats up and doesn't need the enrichment. Of course it could be stuck in the plunger out position which would make for hard starting but runs OK after the engine warms up; this is rare though. Rich
