I screwed up. I ran extension wires from the existing plugs to the license plate light. I started the scoot and put the test leads from my tester to the wires to see if there was "juice"...and I must have the plugs in the tester in wrong because I blew out a fuse. I only hope that the 15A fuse shown in the circuit diagram is the only on that is blown??? I get no fire when I turn on the switch and the battery shows 12.5 volts.
Got any comments that might help me?? What do I have to do to get to the fuse?
I'm gonna take the front plastic off and hope to find the 15A fuse.
Oh...my scoot is a Roketa 54b, 250.
It always help to know what you are doing??? I think I had the tester plugged in the AC instead of the DC. Damn

I believe this is the Fuse you should be checking out by the battery. I changed this fuse holder out to a decent ATC holder.

I'll look again. I checked the 20A fuse with an ohm meter. It reads that it is ok and it looks ok. I still haven't found the 15A fuse. Everything is dead when I turn on the switch...so I'll check the fuses first. I hope that replacing them will solve the problem. I'll let you know.

It is a 54B, linhai. The starter relay says 15A and it has a 20A blade fuse. I'm getting "fire" to the relay. I can't seem to find the 15A fuse. The diagram that came with the scoot shows a 15A fuse off the electric switch assembly. Do I take the front plastic off and see if it is in there...close to the switch? I'm getting more frustrated by the minute. Damn.

i have a mp-250a-jcl and its basically the 54b...my 2 fuses are located in the same places as jrs

Well, here it is morning again and I'll be out trying to find that damn fuse. The 20A fuse for the relay checks out with the meter to be ok. So...it'll have to be the other fuse. It's now 9:40 here and I'll be checking back in an hour. I hope to have some results. I've got so many plastic parts layin' around that I can't' believe it. Thanks again to you guys.

ah,ha! Found it. The 15A was blown. Thanks to you guys. Now...after I replace the fuse, I'll put the damn thing back together. I have one more question. On the relay the plug says 15A...and it has a 20A and an extra 20A. I presume that the 20A will be ok? It has for 5K miles.

Well, I got the new fuse installed and everything put back together and rode the scoot to work a couple of times and yesterday on the way to work...it just quit. I got it home and checked the fuse...the 15A blew. Now the question: what would cause that and can I expect it to happen again? What would you check, with the meter, to see where the problem might be? Thanks, guys.

I wonder if puttin' a 20A fuse in place of the 15A is a good idea?

The 20A fuse between the red from battery thru the relay and fuse to the starter is ok. It's that damn little 15A "jobbie" that went south. I'll just have to start checking for bare places that have touched to a ground. Did you say that a 20A in place of the 15A is a good idea? It won't cause other problems in the circuit??? I think it is just a bare place in a wire someplace. Damn. frustrating as all hell.
