okay i'm starting a new thread cause this is a totally new problem not related to the belt. For those who read the other thread my scooter wont start and the battery is dead so i have to rely on the kick start for now. Heres what's happening.
1. carb is getting plenty of fuel 2. spark plug is giving off a strong blue spark 3. front head lights are lighting up so i know its getting power 4. Zero combustion
It doesnt even sound or feel like its even trying to start. I have the whole engine block apart right now and other then the piston and the head are a little brownish in color (i'm only guessing this means they need to be cleaned) i can't seem to find any other reason why it wouldn't start. I also checked the piston rings to make sure theyre not damaged and other then they look like they need to be cleaned a little they should be fine.
I would like to note that if you know of any good stuff to clean any of this please let me know so i can clean it before putting it all back together.
If you need any pics please let me know.

I use carb cleaner on everything metal. Did you checked the compression before you took it apart? It would be nice to know if anything was going on there. Did it seem to turn over really easy when you tried to kick start it? Look at your valves really close, sometimes the seal around them can fail and boink, there goes your compression. Pics always help. Rich

well i can't really check the compression, don't have any tools for that but i can tell you its making the regular popping noise out the exhaust that makes me think it has compression. and yes it kicks easily. I'll check the valves today.

well i found my problem. the exhaust valve is leaking by just a little bit. And you were right wd-40 did help to figure that out. now i'm not sure if its the value is scratched and needs to be replaced or if its the seal itself. i'm really hoping its not the seal cause then i'd have to replace that entire head piece which i just replaced (even though the new part was used). anyways if you guys have any suggestions or a link to how to take the value off let me know

[/b] Most of the banner parts vendors sell spring compression tools or you might find one that fits at a small engine dealer or even an auto parts store. Rich
