I would like as many people to look at the possible purchase www.gsmotorworks.com/detail.cfm?id=838It is a 50cc scooter and all the details are on the site. My biggest thing is am I getting a good price for a scooter or is there something better. My price range is very limited meaning this scooter is about the only thing I can afford. The other thing is that is it a 2 seat or just for a single person. In the picture it appears that it has foot pegs for a second person to ride, but more importantly is it all that hard to install foot pegs on a scooter at all? I would much rather have them already installed but I'm sure I could save a little and install them myself. To tell everyone the truth my mind is hurting because of all those different choices and much rather have it narrowed down to maybe 2 possibles. I do however like to purchase one from them because everyone else charges any were from 199-239 in shipping and that is a bit much for me to afford and one thing is clear I can only ride legally 50cc scoot and I know if I took a 150 and removed the one a cop will know and I would get in trouble either way even if I masked it as a 50cc in actually it is a 150. Sorry for writing so much but I think that you all would understand my predicament. Also understand this though I want to place the order either Tuesday night or more likely Wed morning including 2 helmets because some f@#$N punk stole my scoot and helmet that went with it. I'll never see it again but this time it is going to be harder to do it(alarm system gps locator and chains even your mother wouldn't try to break) and that not a threat its a promise.

ooooh! That color that they have displayed is gorgeous! I have no experience with any distributor or retailer yet, so I can't tell you whether these guys are good to buy from or not. I am going to buy (in the next week some time) this scooter: www.extremescooters.biz/roketa-aruba-mc-04-150cc-scooter.aspxand I will tell you how it goes. This site offers scooters in the same price range, with the delivery included, and they might be a little more assembled. Only the people with experience can tell you. It won't hurt to go over and see what they've got. Don't forget that these are not like the more expensive scooters. They must be assembled and they are made cheaper. They will need to be put together and you will have to do the work a dealer would do to get it ready to ride. If you know what you are getting into you should be okay, but be sure to check out this board for all the dirt first. You need to understand what you will need to do before you buy or you will be mad! Denise

That's a good price and GSM is a reputable dealer. Call or e-mail them if you have questions, they'll be glad to answer. If you've never put a front wheel on a shipped scooter, it's a real treat. Before you buy you might try Valley Scooters, just click on their banner when it pops up at the top of the site. I don't say this because we get a kickback from our banner vendors, we do not. They are people we know that put a reciprocal banner on their site. But if you tell John, the owner, you're a member of the forum you'll get a discount depending on what scooter you want. I bought from Valley and the scooter showed up mostly assembled with the front wheel on and test started. Killer's good too, you might want to peruse his site. Scooter Dynasty is a new addition to our banners and I'd give them a look. Rather than drive yourself crazy looking all over the web, of those mentioned above, you won't do any better; especially if you need some help after its delivered. Rich

It looks like the seat would fit 2. As far as foot pegs, a lot of scoots have additional space for a 2-up rider's feet. It looks like the one you're thinking of has molding instead of pegs. Installing them may be a little tough because of the frame design. Just a note - if you're thinking of 2-up rides, get a lot of practice in. The MSF course recommends a year of experience before you try it.

I've had numerous dealings with the people at GS Motorworks. So many, in fact, I was accused of being a salesman for them. Not. Anytime I needed parts John delivered them in five days, not empty promises. My scooter is over two years old and works just fine. They stood behind their warranty and they deliver quickly. They were bought by Tao Tao on the basis of their reputation and are now selling scooters built for them by Tao Tao who've sold ATVs in this country for years. A 12" wheeled 50cc scooter under $700 is bargain in anyone's language and it's backed by a quality organization.

Here's another dealer that has great prices and good customer service, I bought my scoot from them and got a very quick delivery and several follow up calls to make sure that all was well and that I had the scooter in good shape, I would buy from them again no question about it. www.scooterdepot.us/index.html

Wow.......! that is scary..... so far I've had no real complaints other than I have gotten put on hold for a long time twice while talking to someone, but that happens a lot so I didnt think much of it now days, but I'm very curious now about hem after reading that report, makes me think that I will be taking my business elsewhere now......! a couple of those bad reports were what I would consider simple issues made real big by people who dont know what a spark plug is, and truly I dont think these cheap china scoots are for those people anyway because these things are gonna have problems from time to time and one needs to have some mechanical skills or they would be better off just getting a better quality name brand scooter thats will be less trouble for them, now I'm concerned because I just realized today that my balance trouble on my front end is the wheel being out of round and not a tire balance problem, I contacted a fella named Patrick at Scooterdepot and he told me if I would just make a short video showing that the wheel is not rolling true then they can see that it actually is the wheel that is the problem and he would see to it that I get a new wheel which he said was covered under my 6 months parts warranty, so I made the video and sent it late this evening so I will find out now if he's just blowing smoke up my back side or if they intend to make this right for me. if not this will be a lesson learned. Thanks for the heads up on those guys , you wont see me promoting them in anyway on here again and I will keep all posted on how my bad wheel warranty situation goes with them.

I bought my two China scoots from different vendors who I found out after the purchase had many unhappy customers. Both the companies disappeared shortly after I bought my scoots. Neither one of my scoots had any defective parts or operational problems, but I did the PDI. Both have over 1000 miles and are running good. I did have shipping damage on one which was resolved satisfactorily. This is probably the most common problem with drop ship scoots and can be resolved when the scoot is inspected before the delivery driver leaves. If a quick call to the vendor does not give satisfactory results, do not sign for the scoot and have the driver take it back.
Most problems are usually simple and the scoot owners' willingness to get involved and learn about their scoots will make scoot ownership a lot of fun. Becoming a member of the forum is one of the best things you can do to ensure happy scootin'.
