We have hundreds of geese on the lake now and folks say that the tundra swans are starting to come in. The best is that we have at least 2 bald eagle nests.

My wife threw some sunflower seeds out on the deck yesterday in addition to our feeders. At 1 point there were over 30 asst'd birds out there- junkoe, bluebirds, finches, sparrows, cardinals, nuthatches & titmice. Plus we've had 5 of the 7 different types of woodpeckers here at the lake coming every day.

I test rode my Xpeed in March - 27 degrees and 55mph. I was wearing my insulated hunting coveralls & down jacket tho.

Rich - retirement?  ?? FYI - I'm starting to hate the words "garden", "plant" mulch", "project". Note - the little TOMOS is fun. The speed limit in the lake is 25mph so that's not an issue for her but a lot of unused power for me. |

Hi all! I'm double posting this from Scooter Prof.I just wanted to say I'm still alive and kicking. We have spent the last 3 months working on projects around the our property. We thought it would take 3-5 years to get it to where we wanted and this is our 4th summer here.We've done minimal kayaking, fishing, swimming and scooter riding but that's changing. I actually got out in the boat the other day for the first time since mid-June. I managed to get a 19" bass, the best of the year.
Scooters? I bought a little TOMOS moped for Dr. Mom and she rode it for the first time yesterday. She did well. Once she feels comfortable, we'll be able to ride together. I'm also seeing a number of "new" scooters around the lake and I'll try to get some sort of organized activity together.

I'm posting this in the general thread. The lady 3 doors up is looking for a fender for a little Schwinn 125 - looks kind of like a Vespa. She needs for inspection. Her kid wiped it out. Does anybody know where to find one? We haven't had any luck here.

I hope you're better soon. It's not a matter of if you're going down, it's when. I had mine a couple years ago. Amen to proper riding gear!
