It will probably be a week or two till install time, but tonight I put them on order for my majesty. It has a belt warning indicator in the dash display thats been winking. I kind of dread having to open it all up to install them. a chinese 150 is a 10 minute job and could just about do it blindfolded, this is going to be a whole lot more than that.
parts cost a whole bunch more than the chinese too. got 13 gram sliders coming and it should have 15 gram rollers in it now. 8 of them. got a deal on the belt for 117, it is a almost 200 dollar retail item. going to have to find my knee pads and maybe a old blanket to work on. I think I would rather do 20 chinese ones instead! john

Find what the size numbers are, I.E. 988x 28x30, If you get that size number you probably can find a Gates or Mitsuboshi belt much cheaper, Just a guess.

Wow, sliders came this afternoon. I can not tell you new sliders are better than new rollers, but WOW is there a difference in new sliders verses rollers that were worn well beyond service limits stated by yamaha. With 13 gram sliders it is running 4-500 rpm higher at 55mph than the worn 15 gram rollers were. It would not shift all the way to "low" and I was lugging the engine so now I may still get at least as good gas mileage but I do not ride a scooter because of good gas mileage, I ride because I like to ride period.
It wasn't as bad a job as I had envisioned. Its just that there is 4 covers to remove to even see the belt. 2 air cleaners, and a plastic cover over the metal cover that goes over the belt. speaking of the belt it looks ok although it is fatter than it should be! There is no way to mark a majesty belt as top and bottom both have the notchs we have on the bottom of the gy6 belts. It may possibly be some sort of after market one.
The belt I ordered I still do not have a tracking number on and ordered it 2 min before the sliders. Thumbs UP for scooter dynasty out of Florida. They were ok on price as I checked elsewhere. 59 shipped for the set of 8 dr. pulley's. If they were made in the quanity that gy6 sliders are I am sure they would be a lot less. I think most replacement majesty rollers are OEM ones.
If any one thinks $117 is high for a belt, try pricing a drive belt for a motorcycle. Heck when I had the suz bandit I was buying a chain and 2 sprockets every 5-8000 miles for $150-$190 on chain alone. John
