Hello all first time poster here. I bought my roketa from a gentleman at about 600 miles. have since put about 1000 miles on it and I am loving it aside from these two issues. For one on take off the clutch squeaks bloody murder, and for two every once in awhile the engine will have like random cutting out. I had a problem where I had the key turned to the on position and it would turn over but not start, than I used the remote start and it fired right up. As for the clutch I have taken the bell off and sanded all the surfaces down, and cleaned it all out to no avail, the squeak returns almost immediately. I am completely stumped on the cutting out problem though.
Any ideas guys?
Thank your for your help Joel

for the stalling and based on the mileage, I would look at a valve adjust. Usually around 1k miles, it needs its first adjustment to the valves....now Ill let the experts get in here and give you the better answers hehe

jmabrao,I would be concerned about the clutch squeak. Give a little more info, does it squeak as you start moving then go away after you are cruising, explain this better, is it a squeak-squeak or a steady solid squeak. Does it do this when on the center stand and you gradually rev up the engine? This could be the Rear Disk Brake not the Clutch. Have you checked the engine oil level and the rear gear oil level. A bearing can squeal when going bad. JR will have more things for you to think about. Good luck

Thanks for the quick replies. I have already adjusted the valves so that's ruled out. But the funny thing is that it doesn't cut out at all when I start it with the remote starter. Any ideas on the squeaky clutch engagement

as soon as the clutch engages fully and stops slipping the squeak is gone.

Oh and one more issue idling at a long stop light when it turns green I give it gas and it bogs out I have a feeling that the big may be caused by the crummy vacuum fuel pump

Well since the weather has changed the bogging could be caused by the air/fuel mixture. In colder weather you need more gas and in hot weather you need less gas. So for the bogging try adjusting your Air/Fuel mixture If it runs good once you get past the Low Speed Idle Jet then it is not your fuel pump, its your air/fuel mixture due to the weather change. I will have to try that tomorrow, the squeaking is incredibly embarassing. And its weird that the stalling only happens when I start it normally, if I start it with the remote start it runs just fine. And that bog only happens sometimes. It's weird, and no I have not changed out the vacuum and fuel lines.

Tried the boric acid. No go exactly what needs to be greased in the clutch?

jmabrao, if you will download the manual provided by this forum, and look at the section and starting with the page I mentioned, You will see exactly what needs to have lube and what type to use. The manual is a very good valuable tool furnished by JR. Take a good look.
