After running 22 miles (Highway)with NO OIL in the crankcase (lost it due to the loose oil fill plug) My 250B (6,500 miles) is burning oil when trying to ride it. “Lucas” oil treatment did not help. What’s the solution? 1.New piston rings? 2.Big Bore Kit? (is there one?) Am open for suggestions.

You will have to tear it down and hopefully only need to have the cylinder honed back to smooth and then add the next size over size ring set. Either case there is no quick fix. Sorry for your troubles.

Thanks Widehide, I knew there will be some work to be done. Am lucky that the engine did not seize. I still can get up to a little over 80 m/h! I don’t want to ride it anymore, until it’s repaired

Thank you guys for the great info. I really appreciate it.
Today I have started up my scoot and paid more attention to the sound of the engine. I am hearing knocking noise. Would that be valves? What would cause the noise?
