Here's my favorite. $15 and guaranteed for life. Works on all variators and clutch assemblies.

Kiwiscoot: That tool works ok. I made one myself. My biggest problem with it was that I kept breaking the fins or the holes designed for it to fit into. The strap wrench worked better for me.

Kiwiscoot: That tool works ok. I made one myself. My biggest problem with it was that I kept breaking the fins or the holes designed for it to fit into. The strap wrench worked better for me. The bolts must be just go almost tight in to the holes of the variator. If they are loose in there they scew and cause side stress on the holes/fins. I use a long powerbar with a socket to get the nut off. One hand on the homemade tool to keep it tight against the variator and one hand on the powerbar. The first time I took the SYM Citycom's variator off I got someone else to hold the tool in place. Let me tell you it was tight, that's why I had to put extra bracing in the tool.
