I need to use your brain again.. Ok. This is what I am working on. I have a speedometer cable and I know how to connect it and where It connects to. BUT! On my front tire there are two bolts A Big on the brake side and a smaller one on the other. I got the small one loose but did not back off far because the bolt does not come back but tightens so I left the scoot like she is until I hear back from you on what I need to do to get to the speedometer. I would guess the shock swings out of the way or I may have to unbolt it. I also am guessing that the other bolt on the front tire will hold it up? ?? I need big time help thanks.... Thanks Brandon Ponthier tbx260 257cc

brnd...Yes the axle bolt still in the wheel and right shock will hold the scooter up. What I have done is to put the scooter on the center stand, if you remove the front axle from the wheel the weight of the scooter should shift to the rear and the rear wheel will touch the ground, the front will not drop forward and down. To test this have a second person with you to press down on the rear as you remove the front wheel. On my wifes 54b I placed heavy weight in the tour box to be sure it kept the rear down and the front up.

If your just replaceing the Cable then it should be pretty simple here is mine all I do is unscrew the screw that is holding the cable in and pull it out. Alleyoop

Yes guys he will need to pull the axle out of the left fork tube and then rotate the lower leg of the tube. The reason is he has the fork with the axle mounted on a stud in front of the tube, not in the center/bottom. The tube is blocking access to the screw that retains the speedo cable. He probably has it figured out by now. Adios

Doesn't the speedometer go on the axle and not the tire? Sorry, had to. ;D Good luck with this. Roy
