Go to your auto parts store and ask for 1/4 ID fuel hose, That will be good to connect from your Fuel Pump/Petcock to the Filter, Then you will need 3/16 from the Filter to the Carb. The Carb nipple takes a 3/16 and 1/4 will be to big. Alleyoop

Cheers Alley, glad I asked as it all looked the same size but I did'nt really check from the tank to the filter as it's a bit out of view. Mike

Second that on Alley's recommendation, 1/4" auto parts store. I've used the clear stuff but it turns yellow and gets brittle. I found a decent piece of the Chinese hose that was on the carb originally which has really thin walls. Then I used a little WD-40 to lubricate the hose and worked it about an inch or so into the auto parts hose. Cut it off even with the 1/4" and you've got a permanent 3/16" inside diameter for the carb:And then you can use 1/4" all the way back to the tank. I use the 1/4" Briggs & Stratton valve which is easy to turn and flows easily:
Then when you take your carb off you just disconnect from the valve and leave the 4" or so bit of hose on the carb. You can also just use 3/16" off the carb and use some WD-40 to work it onto whatever valve or filter you're using, and 1/4" from then on. Rich

Thanks guys, I've ordered up all the fuel and vac lines, may aswell do the lot while I'm at it, and some clips as only some of the lines have them on. Got some spiral cable protector too because some lines have nearly rubbed through Mike
