Hello. I was told I might get help here. For a couple of weeks now, I've been feeling that the rear of my JCL MP250-A has been jerking a bit when I turn on the gas at low speed. Someone suggested that it might be one of the bolts holding the swing arm. This afternoon, I did remove the plastics to have a better look around the engine. I did find one screw missing from the corner of the gas tank that holds it to the frame and did replace it. However, that I didn't fix the problem. I've been looking all around the front of the engine to find that swingarm which is shown on the Roketa part image here: It is part 21 on the picture. So, I need some help to direct me to find this swing arm on my MP250-A. Does anyone know? Thanks in advance! -Laurent.

" ---->it's the #34 ( some guys here will not be able to see the number on the diagram because it's too tiny...LOL)..uhm,i'm not sayin' anything EM??LOL but you know what laurent, if i were you, i will buy one set of socket wrench with different sizes and i will tighten ALL the nuts and bolts that i can possibly see around and underneath the scooter, that way i'm sure that everything is in place...and won't go out of place when you start riding..afterall this is part of PDI...i think you didn't do your homework when you first bought your scoot....just kidding.. ;D AND..i don't think it's the swing arm..cuz between the swing arm and the final drave shaft there is a bearing...so as the dive shaft rotates,,it then rotates with the bearing and not the swing arm that holds the bearing.....if you know the structure of the scooter, you will understand what i'm sayin.(on this one,i use common sense) again,if the scooter is jerking as you accelerate in low speed it must be the Variator .,,,rule of thumb:any problem that involves acceleration or decceleration, the first thing to investigate is the Variator (CVT)/ and second is the clutch..... good luck!! hang around here and you'll learn a lot,..i don't go by the book,i go by experience!!...Welcome to the forum!! we are happy to have you here!! ...and who told you that it was the swing arm? does he have a Bachelors Degree in Scooter Anatomy? like all of us here have? LOL i wonder why that diagram doesn't have the corresponding name on it's numbers,,it should have.

Welcome to Scooter Doc, Laurent. Part number 21 (2 Items) are the motor mount bolts which would be located on top of the motor. You should be able to see one directly above the variator and above the oil fill on the other side of the engine. Let us know how you do with this problem.

Thank you, folks, comments much appreciated! I'll tackle this next weekend and will let you know how it goes. Thanks to Cruiser to help me identify this elusive swing arm bracket. I should be able to find it now. I did check all the bolts I could find yesterday and tried to tighten all of them. Except for the missing bolt holding the gas tank to the frame, all other were very tight. LUKE: how can I verify the if the variator (CVT) is the problem? @jrryan: you're here too? Glad to see you around!

I have had the same thing happening to my JCL. It took me a while but I found my issue. It was the bushings that are in part #24. Check those as well. Part #21 are the bolts for the swing arm. Also when you remove the bolt holding the swing arm check your bushings on the motor mount. Also remember when removing the bushings not to beat them out. Very Stupid idea. Will crack your case more than likely and then you'll be left with nothing. I have seen post on other forums on how to create a "pull" for the bushings. And it works well. A lot of times it's just that crappy rubber they use. China goo...My scoot had previously been at the beach for mine had dried out and were cracked pretty bad. Good luck if you haven't gotten it yet. I have to buy a new swing arm as I could not get the bushings out of it but it's totally worth it. That rear end feeling is really freaky to say the least and I don't want to experience it anymore.
