Have you adjusted the valves? Always the first thing to do with a hard start. It sounds just like my QMB hard starts. If your sure the battery is fully charged then try adjusting the valves. If that does not work then look at the bendix or bushings. Do the easy stuff first before throwing parts at a problem IMHO. Has the scoot sat for a long period of time? Kill swich on? Sounds silly but the best of us forget sometimes

Not yet, only thing Ive done to it was take of the rear rack, change the oil, and adjust the idle screw. ill try adjusting the valves tomorrow morning (had the thing running for the last 45 min). Im thinking its the bendix.
It has sat for a while (atleast 5 months). Kill switch is on, It will run if I kick start it. But its a dog. I can get it to go WOT, back it down, let it sit for 1-2 seconds, then twist the throttle all the way and it dose nothing!
Thanks for the reply!

You have more than one thing happening.
Issue one: starter drive
Issue two: bogging...
If it has sat with gas in it you need to flush the lines and clean the carburator and the jets...

Mine is doing the same thing. I commented on your youtube link workdog95. I have to kick start it to get it to start, however... if I have been riding it, then get off it and run an errand where I leave it sitting for about 10-30 min then try the auto start button, NO problem. Only when its not SUPER warmed up does mine make that same exact noise. Today it started giving me a lil crap when I accelerated. Mine is a cheap but new chinese scooter, 6 mo old with 1,800 miles on it. I have had 2 oil changes and the spark replaced but never had the carb cleaned or valves adjusted as suggested by now. Battery was tested as normal. Is it hard to find/check/adjust the bendix, bushings, solenoid and adjust the valves? Im a chick so im not great w this stuff. I have changed the solenoid on my car but not sure where it is on the scooter. I saw a great video today on how to clean the carb but Im afraid that Im not going to be able to get it back together once i take it apart I drive my scooter every day, unlike yours workdog, mine has not sat at all. One thing I did totally mess up and im wondering if this has anything to do with the problem or may cause problems in the future. I did add oil to it (the full synthetic kind) thinking i was doing something good for my scooter then learned you cant mix that w regular/cheap motor oil. I went to the dealership and asked if they used regular and after they said yes and drove it for about 15 min total I had them drain all the oil and put in all synthetic so the oil was no longer mixed. I know i really should do my own oil changes too. NOW i learned that u shouldnt use synthetic oil in a scooter. Also I had them put in 10w -40 and i hear u are only supposed to use 10w 30. Not sure if the 40 vs 30 makes a difference. I live in South Beach where its hot, not sure if that makes a dif what kind of oil i use either. I paid $1,000 new for this scooter so i almost want to run it into the ground and not put a lot of money into it and just buy another one in 6 mo since i think i already messed this one up. I guess ur first scooter is like ur first car (that you make mistakes with)

Regular and synthetic oils can be mixed without hurting anything. 10W-40 oil is OK to use especially where you live where it tends to be warmer. The 40 is a little heavier than 30 which is desirable for hotter climates. Synthetic is not usually recommended for breaking in the engine but is good after the break-in. You did not mess up, straightbangin.
We need to check out more of the symptoms of your sick scoot before we would recommend carb cleaning.

Cool. Ya I didn't start him on the full synthetic oil until he was at about 1,300 miles or so. It does the same exact noise, (tries to turn over then hisssss) just like the link workdog 95 posted that started this thread off (the only time it doesn't do this is when it is VERY warmed up) like I have driven it within the past 30 min. Starts no problem then. If it has been more than that it gives me issues and I dont even try to start it w the button cuz it sounds like its going to drain the battery, I just kick start it when its not very warmed up. The lagging was a new symptom today but only happened for about 5 minutes, before and after that when I was driving it was fine.

Sounds like your starter is about done...probably needs new brushes or a rebuild/replacement.

lol, already? It's only got about 1,600 miles on it and its only 6 mo old! It sounds JUST like the scooter in the video that the guy who started this thread posted. However, I drive it a couple times a day (and I think he said his sat for a little while) I drive it a couple times a day and it starts no problem with a kick start. Also if I have only left it off for up to a couple hours, it starts no problem with the auto start button so I was told that it may be a battery issue and the scooter happened to be holding a charge for those couple hours. I needed a new battery anyway as I had it tested and it wasn't doing that great. I will let u guys know if the new battery fixes the issue. For now I'm kick starting it until the new battery comes in and I feel like putting it in

Get a bigger battery with more amp hours (AH) You can pick-up a lead acid with 25 AH for like $35 buck at Walmart on sale. They are used for Skidoos or Riding Mowers. Just put them under the seat and extend the battery leads.
Difference of day and night from the tiny chinese battery...
You could also have a charging issue. You should check the DC voltage coming to the battery. It should be 13.5+ volts. Lower than that you have a rectifier/regulator (R/R) problem most likely...
Scooter don't use the battery to start with a kickstart. This means you stator is probably OK.

Workdog-- If the scoot sat that long a good carb cleaning may be in order. That's why I asked. Empty the tank and clean the carb!!! A little Seafoam may help too. If your sure the battery is fully charged, fuel delivery is the next issue to consider.

Could be a bad battery or perhaps the charging system isn't work properly...
Also your valve gaps probably need to be adjusted. They should have been done at about 1200 miles.
Not the same issue, but they need doing soon...

Ya I heard the valves may need to be adjusted, I am overdue on it since it has 1,800 miles on it now. I got the new battery in the mail and I'm waiting to put it in since it has been starting no prob w the kick start and running no problem as well. Also when I use the electric start during the day it starts no problem. I'm just holding off on all work until I 100% have to do it since I'm broke but at least the battery is sitting here incase I need to pop it in Thanks for the info.

Well I used my kick start so much that I busted it ( lesson learned ) So I had no choice but to put the new battery in. I installed it no problem, it started right up and the lights were WAY brighter than usual so I guess it really needed a new battery. I drove it around for 45 min to charge it up. So to WORKDOG95 who created this thread, my scooter is no longer making the noise your scooter was making and it was due to needing a new battery, hopefully that is all yours needs too
