I have a 250 54B scooter with a 6 amp 12 volt battery. Should I upgrade to a 9 amp and if so why? Thanks

If all conditions (scooter tune, weather, proper electrical load) are ideal, then a 6 AH battery should be sufficient. The upgrade is just that. It gives your battery more capacity to handle any unforeseen problems like hard starting or sitting around awhile between rides. The 9 AH battery will retain more power during periods of inactivity. It gives you more starting power to ensure better starting. In cold weather, it will have more CCA which is important because a cold battery will not put out as much power and, of course, this is the time the engine is hardest to start. By going with the upgrade your battery will be stressed less and should also last longer.

Cruiser thanks. You made up my mind to go to the 9 amp. Any suggestions for a good vendor?
