Need to find a thermostat and some other small parts. Does anyone on the board know of a good source in the Kennesaw area (North of Atlanta)? I would rather get my hands on them versus ordering online. YY250T/ CF244cc moto

Try www. scootersgeorgia.com. He is closing out his parts dept. and is close enough for you to drive to. He specialized in Chinese scooters and still has parts available.

Scootersgeorgia is located in Dawsonville and after checking the website he is shipping only. I bought a Tank Touring 250 from him 3 years ago and he is a good guy to deal with. If he has what you need he would probably let you run by and pick it up.

Just talked to the parts guys at Mountain Motor Sports in Marietta. Told me that the thermostat for my motor (Honda Reflex p/n 19300-KM-003) was $42 and he would have to order it. Says that there are no Dealers in Georgia that would have the part? I KNOW the price can be beat somewhere else...any suggestions?

Thanks Cruiser! Looks like a good online source to get parts.
I may not need the thermo right now after all...went into the garage to remove it and was just about to drain the coolant I put in yesterday. When I thought to myself "let's check the radiator level again and make sure that I got all the air out". Well...there was room to add more and yes I needed to burp it again. Ran the scooter until the upper and lower hoses were warm...tells me that the thermo opened and I had good flow. Anyway, ran it for a bit and the fan came on when the gauge got to the halfway mark. I let er run for about 15 minutes and the water temp got up to the 3/4 mark. I guess this is ok since it was just idling and there was very little air flow going across the radiator (other than the fan). Much better than last Monday night while riding home in 50 degree weather and was pegging the H on the gauge!
I got all the panels off...may as well replace my vacuum hoses and fuel lines while I'm in there.

You're welcome. Air in the cooling system certainly can cause a lot of problems in these scoots. My scoot actually runs coolest when idling with the fan running. I noticed this in heavy stop and go traffic last summer. Guys with air cooled motorcycles were making u-turns so they could get moving again to cool down their engines. My scoot was fine just sitting there. So far, I have not been over the half way mark on the temp gage, but I also have not done extended WOT runs either.
