I had a Cozy sidecar added to my TGB R9i in January. Have the full monte, windshield, tonneu cover, convertable top. Gas milage was terrible with the top and windshield on, removed them and gas milage went from 36 to 49 mpg. I was after the 3 wheels and the tub is for carrying stuff. I can tell you that driving a hack is not like driving a trike. Much different, and scary till you get the hang of it. I knew what to expect as I had done a lot of research beforehand. A good ref source is www.sidecar.com. I am pleased with it and if I can ever learn to post pix will send some. I are compooter illatrate.

Jim, we are starting to see a few of the tadpoles on the roads down here. Not many and so far no IBs except for mine and one other. Rarely see a Piaggio MP3 and when you do you have to look quickly. The MP3 is fast. The 250 tops out at 77 and the 3,4, and 500s are real hot rods. Have seen one AutoMoto once.

Good for you, John. I am not a candidate for knee replacement but do have a game right knee. I am saving up for a trike or a sidecar conversion for my R9i. Ride on!!

Get on the Blue Ridge Parkway and head east to Asheville, NC. Or go south out of Bryson City to Sylva. All beautiful rides but watch the tunnels on the BRP. The ones we hit out of Bryson City had the asphalt in terrible condition.

Hope you enjoyed the ride, rich. I rode it last September on my TGB Del. 150 and that big box on the back of the Del. made the ride interesting to say the least. You do learn to be careful in the curves. The first of June past we rode in the Bryson City area, did the Road to Nowhere again, Nantahala Gorge up and back and some side trips. Rode my TGB R9 and managed curves a lot better. We plan to go back up, only 2.5 hour drive, and may ride the Dragon again. May hit the Cherahola 9sp) thos time too. in Sept..

Scootersgeorgia is located in Dawsonville and after checking the website he is shipping only. I bought a Tank Touring 250 from him 3 years ago and he is a good guy to deal with. If he has what you need he would probably let you run by and pick it up.

Try www. scootersgeorgia.com. He is closing out his parts dept. and is close enough for you to drive to. He specialized in Chinese scooters and still has parts available.

Nice work, David!!! This summer Mountain Moped and I are going to tear down the trannies on our trikes as per your instreuctions in hopes that the shuddering that we are encountering is from the missing bearing. I am going to keep mine as a constant reminder to think first and act later. So thanks also for the hard work and patience you showed getting the problem solved and sharing the results with us.
