So far as I am concerned riding with such a distraction is just asking for trouble. I rarely even play the radio while driving my car. Reason? too distracting. And I am totally deaf with out my cochlear implant. My hearing is near normal when it is in place and I want to hear what is going on around me while riding or driving. Your dealer gave you the right info, PJ!!

MC, I have visited this site before. You are right, a bit pricy but really cool looking scoots.

Only God knows when the Second Coming will occur. I am not willing to second guess Him. I believe that The Second Coming will happen quietly but will rapidly gain recognition. Until then man should do all with in reason to protect our environment so that when He returns He will find this world better than it is now.

Timing is every thing and thhis is a good time to sell scoots/mc's. I gave my Tank Touring 150 to my stepson this past weekend to help him cut fuel costs going to work and back. May sell a couple more come summer.

Just read that 3 GE scientists resigned from the panel that was designing these reactors stating that they were not considering the effects that earthquakes and other disruptions might have on the reactors cores. That was in the 70s. Well, appears they were correct and we now know what can happen. These are the same reactors that we have in this country. Whoa Nelly!!!! The basically inefective UN is said to now be broke also and must cut back on some of its programs. As we would say down here in the south, Its every body for himself and Katie bar the door! Tokyo is now neck deep in this latest ongoing disaster. The worlds stock markets are in free fall, radiation may be spread by the wind and that, as Mac points out, might contaminate food supplies around the world. What Mac suggests is only common sense, a quality that seems to be in short supply right now.

A little rersearch on Craigslist-Atlanta shows 64 Vespa rebuilt engine and restored $1500.00 obo, 79 Vespa totally rebuilt and restored $1850.00. You might be able to buy a rebuilt one in your area for less than it would cost to do it yourself if a vintage Vespa is what you want. However, look out for "rebuilt" Vewspas that hae been brought in from Viet Nam. Research shows they are to be avoided. I agree with MC on this one.

$375.00!!!! How many miles? What caliber pistol were you using? What a steal!!!!!! If it runs as good as it looks you made out like a bandit! That is a serious top trunk. Seriously, a good buy any way you look at it. Congratulations!

Dont forget the Salsbury scooter. Both Salsbury and Cushman started manufacturing scooters in 1936. Salsbury just a few months before Cushman. Salsbury closed production in 1948, I think and Cushman continued into the early 60s.

Boy, this one brings back memories!! I can remember visiting the local Western Auto dealer in Asheville, NC when I was a teenager and lusting after a Cushman Silver Eagle that they had on display. Every kid I knew wanted one but none of us had the money to buy one. Please keep us up to date on restorations on this one. A real collectors item.
