Most of the surviving distributors are offering good discounts on the 08 and 09 units to the dealers. Now if the dealers get greedy then the retail prices will reflect it. If they are smart they will pass the savings on to the buyers and go for increased sales. As for pricing increases on the incoming 011 units that will be determined by the manufacturers. There may be increases based on labor and material cost increases.

My two TGB dels. come with foot pegs and I have homemade pegs on my tomos Revival. My R9i does not have them and once I got used to it I have been comfortable with it. R- padding the seat is a good answer also for butt comfort.

I have a Tomos Revival modded to 70cc and I live in the NGA mountains. The prof is correct, assuming you ae riding a moped and not a scooter. The 50cc scoots do a fair job of handling the mountains but in WNC you are going to hit some serious grades which equals slow going.

So far as I know you can not ride 50cc scoots or bikes on any Interstate any where in the country. You could ride 150ccs on the Interstate but only if you have a death wish. It is legal. It sounds like an interesting ride but map it for the back roads only.

Only He knows when the world as we know it will end. there is no doubt that we are in trying times and that situation will likely continue until we can find reasonable solutions. Remember 2000. That was the year touted to bring about the ultimate end. When all the 'evidence' is presented one must make his own conclusions. I expect to be riding in 2013!! Now the video of the man who can fly is interesting. There are just a few things that I find questionable. He never changes his position as he flies and no wind is rumpling his hair or his clothing. It looks like a carefully selected crowd of a few who are observing and cheering him. Can you spell photo shop and hoax? When national news outlets cover the event and he flies from the Empire State Building to the Chrysler Building in NYC I might believe it.

Good credit is 'a good thing'. However, saving is a better thing. I have paid cash for all 6 of my rides (down to 5 now that the Tank is gone) and it is not hard to do. Just budget a donation to a savings account and also to an under the bed account each month. Save your change and your $1.00 bills also for the latter account and you will be surprised at how fast you can build your discretionary funds. And when you buy it it is yours, not the lenders.!!! I know that bank savings accounts offer nada interest but I have found that it makes it a little harder to draw from and gives you time to think about it.

out of gas

I always keep a gallon of gas in the top trunk of all my rides. Gas guages and speedometers are very inaccurate on scoots and trikes in general.

I seem to remember that CZ made a 125cc bike that Sears imported under the Allstate emblem in the early 60s. I would love to have one of those in a trike or sidecar but dont think I could afford it unless I quit eating and sold all my scoots.

Temps here now in the 60s and 70s, great riding weather. The CRV is parked and the R9i is getting road time. Life is good!!!!

I have worked in TX, a wonderful state. However the coast of TX has an extremely high humidity year round, hurricanes, and you had better have a job before you move. I was raised in Asheville, have 2 sons still living there and if I had to make the choice I would stay there in the mountains before I would move anywhere. If you want to ride on the coast, pack the scoot for short vacations on the outer banks of NC.

Mac, I started losing my hearing on my 30s also.No one else in my family had ever had hearing problems. Got my first hearing aids in 1991 and slowly but surely my hearing deteriorated. My present Audiologist keptme going as long as she could and then reccomended a cochlear implant. At first I refused but the longer it went the worse it got. I had the proceedure done 2 years ago this coming May and it is the best thing I ever did. Medicare and tricare covered the expense. I was totally deaf in my left ear so that was the side I elected to have the implant done on. I have 5% hearing in my right ear and wear a hearing aid in that ear. What it picks up the brain enhances and I hear in sterio. I use a cap-tel phone so that I can read what the caller is saying if I miss a word. Dont rule out the implant as it sounds to me like you are ready for one.

Mac, you are correct! Also, at least in the two Tanks that I had the remote starter and the radios that they came equiped with would drain the battery over night even tho both were off. After I disconected them i had no more trouble with dead batteries. I presume that you wear hearing aids.
