jim i have a 2010 compellor that i bought in september of 2010 i am having a problem with the rear plastic fender decking cracking.
i was wondering if that was something that would be under warranty or if i have to buy new also i put weather strip under the mounting points also balance the tires trike rides pretty smooth.
the only vibration i get is when i first take off from stop which is not that much. one thing i noticed when i was putting rear fender deck on was the holes did not line up with metal brackets that hold the rear fender deck to rear axles i had to bend the three L brackets on each side to get screws in on rear deck obviously the bracket holes did not match with rear deck holes.
i think also the rear decking could us some ribbing and also be a little thicker i was wondering if you would be able help in any way in this matter.i am now stuck with a cracked rear deck.
thank you ironworks

I do not believe the Plastics are covered in ANY warranty on any scoot the plastics are prone to break crack etc.. Also your warranty is up except maybe for the engine. Some trikers have plans to put another piece of metal strip over the exsting one to strenghten it up for less vibration. Yet others are looking at having a whole new rear deck and fender built thicker and maybe out of different material. Alleyoop

Having same problem on my Silver Bullet a 300cc Magnum. I am taking it this week to have a fiberglass trunk made to totaly replace the deck. Lets see the cost.....
Another idea is to glue a rib section in and foam under to add-off vibrations..

I have a 2010 Compeller, too, and noticed the deck cracking after about 100 miles on it last year. Just got her out of winter storage yesterday but my husband has already put weather stripping on the brackets and is planning to reinforce the underside with fiberglass webbing. Hoping that works and stops any further cracking. Haven't got many miles on her , yet , but I am loving it !

The compeller did have a problem with the rear deck cracking due to vibration and the straight axel. Ice Bear had warrantied a few of these (customer paid shipping) when it machine was still under the 6 month warranty even tho plastics were not covered. I am not sure if they are still doing that or not.

I also had the problem. You might try getting the plastic PVC cement and using it together with fiberglass cloth. Let it dry well it does a good job you can layer. stays flexible with the plastic fender.

sunnydayfly Thanks for the PVC tip. I cleaned the bottom deck and brush primed it and used heavy glass fiber patchec on

I just want to add that my father-in-law had the same problem with the rear fender cracking. He bought it from County Imports in spite of my warnings. You can guess what happened with the warranty.
