this pertains mostly to bikes, but scooter supply from japan is also almost non existent. what it looks like to me is used and china scooters will become more valuable in the shortage.

Good thing there are plenty of leftover China Scoots (Just joking) Those people have had a real bad time and it will trickle down on the world.

You also have to think about the Earthquake they had and the Immense devastation they currently have. Even parts for cars are currently in short supply, so you think scooters will take precedent I don't think so.
So yes this year there will be a shortish of two wheelers from japan and china.

Guys....that is all so true about the earthquake. My business is about 15 miles from the Honda factory in Lincoln Alabama. They've got everybody on a short schedule because they can't get enough parts from Japan. They keep making excuses that it's a "reorganization" but the employees are kinda filling their knickers if you know what I mean.
