PDI question on MP 250A JCL Variator cover By grocerygetter (Read 1,034 times)

Not sure if this thin clear plastic cover is supposed to be removed before use (there only from manufacturing/assembly) or if it serves a purpose?

It's 'bolted' on, not just sitting there.
The black cover will need to be removed first to take off the clear plastic cover.

This looks like a protective shield to keep the CVT cover from getting scratched.
