well bike stopped on me taday would only idle touch gas it died then cked spark and had little spark then it went away plug looks great cked pick up cked coil new but still picked up cdi died no spark good current on leads spark came back 20 min. later moved cdi all around bike runs again once i put back on gharger 12.93volts when it sterted back up its carbed yy250 jonway on a sun l sl250-29 all the wires comming out of moter r the sam coler yellow? its the linhea yammaha clone lost with it should i get the cdi?its cheap enough around 30 bucks bike runs great other then intermitten spark now i bought the bike on a hard start note did valves runs great

well my coil wyer was on the exhaust changed the wyer seems to be running good gonna see if it starts in the am wish me luck

start over explain this again but a little slower this time.

did you check that the spark plug boot was on firm
did you check to make sure the connections to the coil are on firm

hook a volt meter to the bike if you can get it started and let me know what it says.

if the bike starts after being off for a while let me know that also.

well the bike starts runs great coil wires are tight where would u like me to hook up the ohem meter at? let me no the bike had a hard start issue when i bought it but seems to be starting now that i set the valves on it. i sprade some wd 40 on the wires around the engine seemed to make it idle more smoothly so we shall see please let me no voltage at the battery off was 12.95 running 14.12 does that help?

The battery numbers look good, 12.96 sitting there and 14.12 running that is pretty damn good.

so the spark plug boot is firm on the wire and also twisted firm at the coil correct? you should make sure and may have to take it off to be sure.

1st. Make sure you have oil at the correct levels because mine will act slugish when the oil is low.
2nd. it could be your CDI from what your telling me mine just went bad and acted like your bike, so to test this start the bike and hold a blow dryer on the CDI which is probley under ware your sheild is and above the head lights. If you hold it on there for a short time mabe 30s to 45s not to long because you dont want to cook the thing. If the bike kills while its running its the cdi and its not allowing it to start when it gets worm.

i dont think its your stator or regulator

I would adjust your carb while your at it though i dont think thats the problem but it would help you because there set lean from the factory.

im running rich i moved my pin ajustment and im 2 and three quaters turned out runs great i will check the cdi like u said it was sitting under the seat lock i put it under the seat 4 now i thought the chargeing level was great had cars with less that ran fine
