Welcome to Scooter Doc, esauhi. I disabled the alarm/remote start on my scoot by removing the fuse for the unit. Removing the unit should not affect the starting. What sometimes happens is that a jumper has to placed between the black/white and grey/white wire to make sure the engine turns off with the ignition switch.

The problem is that there was no fuses. it was just the black box, two white wires going out of it to a connector, then red wires to the siren. After that, the next bunch of wires out of the box are going to a 6or7-prungs connector, and I have a yellow wire and a black wire not connected to anything.

Here is a snapshot of how the wiring is. I only disconnected the siren because it was F-in annoying. Attachments:

Did you try reconnecting everything to see if the scoot still starts? Since you seem to have a no start condition with the alarm disconnected and you have no separate fuse, I would reconnect the alarm box and disable the power to the box by cutting and taping off the feed wire. Normal convention is red wire is always hot and black wire is switchable from the ignition. The single strand black wire is an antenna for the alarm system, I don't know what the yellow does, and I do see a red wire in the large plug. If you have a multimeter, check to see if it does have 12 volts and that will determine it to be the wire to cut to disable the alarm unit.

I think I did something I shouldn't. I tried to get the red out, it didn't work. then I took the black one out, and again nothing. But I could hear the fuel pump and the alarm clock working when I turned the key on. Then I connected the black and red together and I guess I shorted it. So I changed the fuse next to the battery but still nothing to make it work again. I'm lost and need some help please.

Is this a MC-54B-250 scoot? They don't come with electric fuel pumps or alarm clocks. Did you buy this scoot from someone else? Have you been able to ride it OK before disconnecting the alarm? We could use some background here.

I believe it is an MC-54B-250. I bought it from someone else, and I rode it fine before the alarm issue. Except that it started not going manually, and I had to use the remote start to turn it on the last couple days. Also, it doesn't idle when I come to a stop.

If it dies when you come to a stop, your valves are probably to tight. Adjust the Top Intake to .004" and the Bottom Exhaust to .005". Alleyoop

Great!! That's gonna keep me busy!! Now do you know how to bring the power back on it after my lil wire switch experience? Cause now nothing clicks or light up on the dash, nor do i hear the fuel pump running when i turn the key on.

So what if there was no main fuse and I got a short. What would be hit first?
