what kind of art? is it painting?(canvas/charcoal/oil/spray), sculpture?(wood/ice/metal), dancing(ballet/folk/),singing?( alto/tenor/pop/rock etc) , lanscaping(ornamental plants/gothic/aztec/) , drawing?(sketching/graphiti/murals/abstract)....pls specify pj ....in essence, when you get a can of paint and splash it onto the wall, the figure that it create is already considered an "art"

Also PM'd.

view and contrast Michelangelo’s Pieta with either the Avignon Pieta or the Isenheim Altarpiece by answering these questions: 1. Although one is a sculpture and the other a painting, what differences do you see in the representation of the human figure between Michelangelo’s work and the altarpiece? 2. These art works were created during the Renaissance. How do they illustrate Renaissance values and ideals?

Michelangelo was like the first artist to use actual dead bodies as models for the body of Christ. As a result he captured a great deal of detail in his sculpture that was missing in other renditions up until then. It got him in a lot of trouble that his was so "lifelike".
The altarpiece has a convulsive figure on the cross, one of the symptoms of ergotism. Note the lower legs and fingers. Far from Michelangelo's peaceful figure, Christ is tortured even in death.
Michelangelo-An intense Virgin Mother's love is portrayed. Altarpiece-The usual Catholic "God suffered bigtime to save us from our sins. See how terrible he looks in death."
All usual of the 1500's religion and its depiction.
