i have a 50cc zhong neng scooter made by lance powersports or something like that. everything has been great with it until a few weeks ago and now i have no backlight on my dash, no turn signals (but it does show that they are on, on my dash), no headlight, and no rear running light. although when i push in the brakes, the brake light works. i have checked the ground all the way to the frame and it looks good. ive also checked the wires from the headlight and turn signals and they seem good as well. the lights, dash..etc wires all cluster together and clip into a clip and run under the bike and run to the rear lights. theres no power going through any of the wires except a black one that powers the lights to tell me that the signals and headlights are on. i need answers as to why theres no power going to the cluster of wires. and yes the battery is brand new and the fuse is good.

Wish I could help you bud but I dont know much about the wiring stuff on these scoots, i've had a couple light issues myself and just regrounded mine today thinking that might be my problem, but I wont know for sure until its dark so I can see if my lights are going real dim sometime when I increase the throttle, I think I have or had something loose but like I said I dont know if mine is fixed yet or not..... The wiring stuff can be a real booger because you cant see the problem many times.
Good Luck I hope you get it figured out soon.
Peace

Welcome to Scooter Doc, eas20151. Most 50cc scoots use AC off the stator to power the headlights and dash lights. You don't even need a battery for the headlights. One yellow wire runs from the stator to the headlight switch and the power then runs through a blue/white (varies) to the dimmer switch which then feeds the high beams or low beams. This will be AC and thats the path you should check out. Using a multimeter starting at the headlight and working back-wards should track down the problem.

Ok so my headlights are fine. It was the bulbs! But the turn signals still wont flash and I know the bulbs are good. Any ideas?

Great. I'm glad I told you to start at the headlights. The flasher usually gets fed from the ignition switch through a black wire. The output goes through a gray wire to the directional switch. Some flashers have a third green wire which goes to ground. The flasher is usually located up near the headlights. Check for loose wires. Then go to voltage checks if necessary.

Im looking at the switch and theres the gray wire, which is getting juice. there's also an orange wire, and a light blue wire which aren't getting anything. Is that bad?

The light blue wire is the feed to the right turn directionals and the orange is the feed for the left turn directionals. Something should happen depending how you set the directional switch. If not, then you may have a problem with the directional switch.

The tail light and dash lights are usually fed by a brown wire from the headlight switch. Source of power for these lights is also the AC from the stator.
