Hey folks need some help ideas please!
Few weeks back was riding my 2010 PST150-11 trike, Please keep in mind the bike has only 300 miles on it!
I was riding and the bike just shut off. Would restart but was a hard start and would not stay running. Last ran a little rough seemed as a multi cylinder motor running with a misfire
Another member here suggested I adjust the valves. I took the body apart to get at the motor and did so.
I replaced the spark plug just for GP's. And, replaced the battery. I would not take a full charge thought maybe the batter was bad.
Before putting the body back on the bike I started it. Let in run for a few min, seemed as it was OK! Put the bike back together!
Once done the bike will not start.
Ck'ed spark seems OK Ck'ed for fuel seems OK
Any suggestions?
Thanx in advance for the help!

Hi Phil, Does it want to fire? or does it just crank? Did you try squirting some Gas Down the INTAKE MANIFOLD? Take the Vacumm Hose off the intake and squirt a little bit of gas directly down the intake through the NIPPLE and put the hose back on. IT should fire it may even start and die. But that will tell you if it is Fuel Delivery Problem.
Since you tool off the panels and it ran, then you put the panels back on Look for something pinched, WIRES, HOSES etc. You can also try moving the wires around and see if there is a bad connections someplace. Alleyoop

Hey, alleyoop! Thanx just sitting here looking it and scratching my head!
One other question taking it apart I've noticed grease in the rear looks like it may have been coming from the Diff,
I thought I seen a post where you took the diff, apart. Are there gaskets? I noticed it split's botls running true?
Will ck wires etc, let you know if I find anything.

Looks like from the start my issue was the spark plug wire at the coil. It was loose! Shake/move it and you had spark. Depending on how it was sitting no spark. OH WELL! I learned a few lessons. One of, I now know how to take off the body. Seems as to make repairs is what you need to do!
Now found the DIFF leaking! I tightend down the bolts but it's still leaking.

The the grease starts to melt a little bit and will start to fling out. Use Synthetic grease in there and check it every 1000 miles or so. There are NO gaskets, where you may find a problem is the Axles will move out a little and will cause your wheel to be loose. Make a habit of grabbing the CASTLE NUT with the Cotter Pin going through the Axle and see if you can move it. If you can move it is loose and you may have to put a Washer Behind the Castle nut so that you can tighten it up and align a Slot on the Castle NUt with the Hole in the Axle. If you let it go it will ruin the Splines on the HUB which your Rim bolts up to then you will have to order new hubs. Alleyoop

GREAT!! that is was just a loose wire on the COil, Just zip tie the coil up to the frame so that it does not bounce around. ALSO make sure the Coil Wire going to the PLUG has some slack otherwise it will pull out off your Plug. Alleyoop

Het Alleyyoop! As always thanx for the info! I dont see it in or around the wheels, I see it leaking at the DIFF, itself. Where the break is, the chain meets. If I'm understanding you correct

Mine was slinging grease out also. When I had taken it apart to fix the axle I cleaned out the Chinese grease. It was like Vaseline. I refilled it with a good synthetic grease. When I put it back together I sealed it up with silicone gasket maker. I made sure to get around the shaft that the spider gears are on. The grease don't sling out any more. I also have another idea on how to keep the axle from pulling out.
