Has anyone found a good way of repairing the starter drive on the 50cc engines? I have bean replacing them but that costs about $20.00 for me and $25.00 for my customers. I have gone through more of them then any other part this summer. I would love to save my customers some $. I just tried soaking the drive in carb cleaner for 24+ hours but haven't yet tried it in the scooter. Any help would be very welcome.

Sometimes they are called "starter bendix" its the part that is turned by the starter motor and engages the gear in front of the variateor.
