mouth like a shark. when kids we used to get some smoked once in a while. notice no toy spinning reels either. love them bait casters. all I use. john ccprof yes, strong river fish living current all their life. Most people use 80# braided line. jct...looks like a shark mouth, but no teeth, really its a big vacuum to suck stuff off the bottom. Here is a pict of the mouth extended out. (Chris Hanson's photo)  If anyone is in the St. Paul area, look me up for some fishing during the summer. |

Went fishing this weekend. This first one was the first cast of the day  The second one is my son's last cast. He was afraid to hold it so I did. Do these look like the same fish. I thought they were till i looked at the pics. The first one is much fatter and the second one is longer. Also, how much do you guys think they weigh?  |

yah,it's two diff bass', one is healthy and one has a fin rot virus,common disease in bass during summer... those are 2 good sized bass thomas! yup maybe 4-5lb-er.

I'm with Borg. These were banal threads then, and it's nutty to raise them now. I was around when these first unfurled and if you need to relive the past do it on your own time. If reprinting threads by ex-members floats your boat then you need to see your therapist more.

dunno what's the problem with reviving an old topic??...just because you don't do fishing?,
fishing topic can never be an old topic, especially during spring,people are out fishing. my goodness! re-incarnating old threads is such a big deal,,,i'd say life is short ,just enjoy it!!
i'd rather do fly fishing than flying an rc plane,,hahaha!, my neck will get stiff,always looking up in the sky..LOL

Well....fishing is rated right up there with riding in my book. Subject matter a lot better than some of the stuff I have seen posted here. Flying them planes is a blast! Some of the stuff they have today is just amazing...
